How to Use the Level Path: XP, Missions and Outfit Gifts

See your level and the XP you still need on Damda's level path, plus today's missions, five chapters to Lv.15 and outfit gifts for your hamster.

Level path screen. The top card shows Chapter 3 · Focus for 25 minutes, Lv.8, a 220 / 480 XP bar, 260 XP to Lv.9 and the Lv.9 gift, a Beret. Below are three of today's missions marked as received, then the Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 cards marked Done.

In Damda, finishing to-dos and focusing earns you XP (experience points), and XP raises your level. When you level up, you get outfits for your hamster as gifts.

The level path puts all of this on one screen. You can see your level, how much XP is left until the next one, what your next gift is, and what earns XP today. Numbers in this post, like Lv.8 and 220 XP, are only examples.

Follow the level path

  1. On the My tab, tap the Level path row. It sums up your current level and your next gift.
  2. Check the top card for your level and the XP left until the next one.
  3. Look at Today's missions for today's task and focus goals.
  4. Expand the card for your current chapter to see the missions for your level, then tap Go to start one right away.
  5. When you level up, tap Dress up on the celebration screen to try on your new outfit.

The top card: your level and the XP left

The top card tells you where you are right now.

  • Current chapter: the name of the chapter you're on, like Chapter 3 · Focus for 25 minutes.
  • Current level: shown as a number, like Lv.8.
  • XP bar: the XP you've earned at this level and the XP it takes, like 220 / 480 XP.
  • XP left: on the right, how much is left until the next level, like 260 XP to Lv.9.
  • Next gift: a preview of the outfit you get at the next level, like Lv.9 gift · Beret.

Earn XP with today's missions

Under the card, Today's missions are short goals you fill over a day or a week. On the screen you'll see missions like these:

  • Finish 1 task today
  • Focus for 10 minutes today
  • Practice 3 days this week

Each mission shows the XP it gives, and once you fill it, it changes to something like +20 XP received. When a weekly mission also earns you a rest day, the row says so at the end. You can read more about how rest days work.

Five chapters, ending at Lv.15

The level path has five chapters, and you graduate at Lv.15. Each chapter builds one habit.

  • Chapter 1, Do one thing: You can write one task and see it through.
  • Chapter 2, Three days a week: You can make three practice days in a week.
  • Chapter 3, Focus for 25 minutes: You can sit down and focus for 25 minutes.
  • Chapter 4, Do it at the planned time: You can do what your timetable says, when it says.
  • Chapter 5, Keep going for a month: You can plan and follow through on your own for a month.

Each chapter card shows its level range and status, like Chapter 1 · Lv.1–3 · Done, with the outfits that chapter gives you on the right. Expand a card to see four missions for each level.

How missions are counted

Under each mission, one line says what it counts. Here are the ones that are easy to mix up.

  • Tasks: counts each task you finish.
  • Sessions: counts each focus session you finish.
  • Focus days: counts the days you focus for 1 minute or more.
  • 3 task days a week: a week (Mon–Sun) with 3 days on which you finished a task counts once.
  • 3 focus days a week: a week (Mon–Sun) with 3 focus days counts once.
  • 25-minute focus: it has to be one session of 25 minutes or more in a row.
  • Tasks with a reminder: tap the task to turn on its reminder, then check it off when you're done. Checking it off alone doesn't count.
  • Tasks linked to your timetable: tap the task to link it to a time block on your timetable, then check it off when you're done.
  • Focus at the planned time: counts focus sessions you start between 10 minutes before the plan you picked and the end of that plan.

The labels next to missions help too. Go takes you to where you can do that mission. XP on the way means you've reached the goal and the XP is coming. Missions you've collected change to Received, and levels you haven't reached yet tell you which level their missions open at. Missions left behind at earlier levels show up as something like 2 missions not cleared.

An outfit gift when you level up

When you level up, a celebration screen shows your new level and the outfit you got, like the Beret. Tap Dress up to put it on right away, or leave it for later.

When you finish a chapter, a What you did in this chapter screen sums up your Tasks done, Focus and Practice days. After all five chapters, the path changes to You finished the whole level path.

Clothes tab in Customize my room. Under the hamster are a Next gift · Beret card reading Now Lv.8 · 260 XP to the next gift, a clothes list showing 3 / 7 ready, and a Go to Today with this look button.
Your outfits and next gift also show in Customize my room. Here's how to dress up your hamster in clothes, hats and glasses.

Old level names are now numbers

Since version 3.1.0, levels use numbers instead of names like First focus. Records you built before the update count for up to 1,500 XP.
